When I was a student I first came into contact with Indian culture and philosophy and was immedeately spellbound. I visited India several times and fell in love with its beauty, its culture, its music and its people.
India is a hugely diverse country, offering magnificent views, nature, temples, history and experiences but also abjcet poverty and miserable circumstances. But is is its philosophy that captured my heart. Its great insight into the human mind, its focus on non cruelty and doing what is right, no matter how difficult or even wrong it may seem, is immenselely appealing to me. In times of sorrow of duress the Bhagavad Gita gives me strength and solace.
Through this Site and Blog I want to share my love for this magnificent country. I know some may take offense or even deem it sacrilegious when a non-Indian discusses Indian history and religion but I hope this is far outweighed by those who enjoy sharing this passion and aknowledging the honesty and devotion underlying it.
